The YSFlight Thunderbirds (YSTB) were a six-ship YSFlight aerobatic team dedicated to simulating the aerial performances of the United States Air Force Thunderbirds. Originally beginning in 2014 as a replay-based act flown solely by Kujo, by 2017, the YS Thunderbirds evolved into a full six-member live team, making its debut in this format at the 2018 Indy Air Fest. Following Kujo's retirement from YSFlight aerobatics at the end of the 2018 season, he was succeeded as team lead by Indy.
Flying the full profile of the USAF Thunderbirds, the team was the signature headlining act of all YSFlight airshows hosted by the closely-related YS Airshow Council, also managed by Indy on the YS Thunderbirds' Discord server. The YSTB last performed at the 2021 Indy Air Fest, and has been dormant since, with pilot departures and scheduling conflicts leaving its future uncertain.
