The YSFHQ Blacklist was a duel-based dogfighting event that started in December 2011, and was revived in 2013 due to lack of activity.
The concept was that any pilot could challenge anyone inside the blacklist whose ranks was higher in order to take their rank, thus climbing up the list. For example: if Bob is ranked 6th on the list, and Mark is rank 2nd on the list, and Bob beats Mark in a match, Bob will now be 2nd, and Mark 6th. If Bob loses, both players keep their ranks.
The style of dogfighting is still the standard western form of dogfighting duels, even though the blacklist itself is not active anymore. Many squadrons also teach and practice A2A BFM and techniques through the use of this style, the most notable example being the CVW-171 squadron.

The Dogfight:
The match itself consists of the 2 contesters spawning in the standard NORTH01 and SOUTH01 STPs of the respective map at the same time, using the stock F-16 FIGHTING FALCON (or any aircraft of proven similar performance if agreed by both parties) in a 30% fuel - no weapons (only gun is used) configuration. In non-official matches, pilots have the freedom of taking different aircraft and configurations if it's agreed by both players.
Ranking:
In the original blacklist, to take a rank you had to beat the pilot you've challenged in 4 out of 7 rounds, but in the newer one, the first pilot to reach 5 won rounds would be considered the victor.
