About[]
GrunSolutions, also known as GrunSolutions Inc. or GrunSolutions Kabushiki Gaisha, was a Online Gaming Clan "Company" that was formed in 2014 initially as 8th TFS "Grun", later evolving into GrunSolutions in July 2016 as a result of expanding to take in new units (eg. 4AW). GrunSol operated in YSFlight first and foremost, but had made attempts to branch out into other games, Such as Second Life and Unturned. Military-based activity was handled by their PMC branch, GrunSolutions PMC.
As of 2019, GrunSolutions was defunct and later became MIRAI Group.
Objective[]
Due to lacking skills in dogfighting, the squadron prioritized group fighting and BVR combat, as well as utilizing aircraft built for boom and zoom tactics. They also wanted to promote more creativity with aircraft designs utilizing more experimental concepts while allowing them to be balanced fairly, and having each aircraft have its' own feel rather than being clamped to one DAT. One of the results of this experimentation was the first instance 'scramjet' technology in YS, which utilized an exploit in how YSFlight handled flaps, allowing aircraft to reach very high speeds at the cost of losing nearly all maneuverability. While they did not abide by the F-16 standard, they did not wish to make use of cheat planes.
History[]
Initially, the squadron intended to cooperate with VFA-49 but as time went on they started to contest the F-16 standard, considering it was restrictive and hampering creativity in combat which inevitably resulted in a conflict with the 49th.
In mid 2016, they founded a sub squadron named 4AS (now 4AW) and took SARF under their wing, but in December of 2016, Nodoka (GrunSol CO) resigned from the YSFHQ administration after a heated fight with Flake. As a result, GrunSol scuttled its' YSFlight division, leaving 4AS to become 4AW, and SARF to form the NUNIMF (Neo United Nations Independent Mercenary Front) which was a concept she had come up with and shared with the members of 4AS and SARF at the time.
From then to December of 2018, GrunSol would come back to YSFlight on and off in a limited capacity before dissolving over command issues in 2018 which later sorted themselves out, but with a reformation as MIRAI.
