The 66th Air Force Unit (also known as Galm Team) was a squadron formed in January 2018 by Blaze WarDog016 and ChopperWardog008 following their removal from the Special Armed Response Force. Their original intent was to stop a potential conflict between SARF and the Brotherhood of Honor. Afterwards, the 66th flew occasional combat air patrols in and around Madobe, seeing action in combat every so often. After a half-year of inactivity, they re-emerged with new pilots, many of which came from other games such as War Thunder.
In 2019, the squadron underwent a leadership change as Blaze accepted a lower position as XO, with Vertex becoming Galm's new CO. In July 2019, Blaze left the squadron on bad terms and became a member of the short-lived Ransom Squadron; following this, a brief war erupted between the two. A month later, the 66th AFU was radically reformed under the leadership of Vertex to become the 2nd United Combat Wing, which repurposed much of Galm's former fleet.
